Lists Near 1,000: Leave GoDaddy Email Marketing. Near 10,000: Check the Contact Cap
GoDaddy's Reach plan costs $395.88 a year ($32.99 a month) for 120,000 email sends. At 1,000 contacts, that is more than all six dedicated email tools charge, which run $180 to $360 a year.

At 1,000 contacts, leaving GoDaddy saves you $35.88 to $215.88 a year. GoDaddy’s digital marketing page lists its Reach plan at $32.99 a month for 120,000 email sends. Near 10,000 contacts, Reach costs less than every dedicated price here, but only if its contact cap covers your list.
The bills are counted differently. Most tools below price by contacts, Brevo Starter prices by email volume, and GoDaddy lists Reach by its send allowance. So the smaller bill depends on your list size, how often you send, the billing term and Reach’s contact cap.
Verdict: Leave GoDaddy Near 1,000 Contacts; Near 10,000, Stay Only If Reach’s Contact Cap Fits
- What it is: an email plan in GoDaddy’s Digital Marketing range. It suits a large list you email often, if its contact cap covers that list.
- The flaw: at 1,000 contacts, Reach costs $395.88 a year. That’s $35.88 to $215.88 more than each of six dedicated tools. It also gives 120,000 ÷ 1,000 = 120 sends per contact a month, far more than a small list can use. The fix: move a small list to an entry plan such as Brevo Starter, which costs $183.00 a year billed yearly.
- The strengths: Reach’s 120,000 monthly sends are 8 to 12 times what the dedicated entry plans include. Its digital marketing page also lists email automations, ready-to-use templates, A/B subject-line testing and multi-user access with roles. At 10,000 contacts, Reach is $101.16 a year under Brevo Starter’s $497.04, the cheapest price here. That holds only if its contact cap covers the list.
- Who should skip: anyone under 250 subscribers. They can start on the MailerLite free plan for $0.
GoDaddy Email Marketing Costs $32.99 a Month for 120,000 Sends on Reach
GoDaddy sells email as part of a wider marketing bundle. Its Marketing menu, shown on the help page for creating and sending marketing emails, says you can “improve your search visibility, send email campaigns”.
The plan prices come from GoDaddy’s digital marketing page:
- Visibility: $21.99 a month, with no email sends listed.
- Reach: $32.99 a month, or $395.88 a year, for 120,000 email sends a month.
- Engagement: $89.99 a month, or $1,079.88 a year, for 750,000 sends.
The same page says you can “track your marketing success with platform, post, and email analytics.” If you stay, GoDaddy’s Getting Started with Email Marketing course walks you through setup.
Check Four Things on Your GoDaddy Plan: Price, Send Limit, Contact Limit, Analytics
Your own bill is a better guide than any list price. Check these four things before you compare:
- Price. Multiply your monthly charge by 12. Check whether it is a first-term rate that rises when you renew.
- Send limit. Find your plan’s monthly sends. If you’re on Visibility, the plan lists no email sends.
- Contact limit. Ask GoDaddy how many contacts your plan allows, since most tools below price by contact count.
- Analytics. GoDaddy promises email analytics alongside platform and post analytics. Open your dashboard and confirm the email reports are on your plan.
Dedicated Tools Cost $180 to $360 a Year at 1,000 Contacts and $497.04 to $1,800 at 10,000
How we evaluated: each dedicated-tool price was read from the vendor’s own pricing page on 2026-10-20. Every row uses the same contact count and names its billing term. To check one, open Mailchimp’s pricing page, set 1,000 contacts and look for Essentials at $26.50 a month. For GoDaddy, find “120,000 email sends per month” under Reach on its digital marketing page.
At 1,000 contacts (dedicated tools read 2026-10-20):
| Tool and plan | Billing | 12-month cost | Emails a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| ActiveCampaign Starter | Yearly | $180.00 | — |
| Brevo Starter | Yearly | $183.00 | 10,000 (price set by this volume) |
| MailerLite Comfort | Yearly ($228.00 monthly) | $205.20 | 10,000 |
| Omnisend Standard | Monthly | $240.00 | 12,000 |
| Mailchimp Essentials | Monthly | $318.00 | 15,000 |
| Klaviyo Email | Monthly | $360.00 | 10,000 |
| GoDaddy Reach | Monthly (listed) | $395.88 | 120,000 |
At 10,000 contacts, for four of these tools (read 2026-10-20):
| Tool and plan | Billing | 12-month cost |
|---|---|---|
| Brevo Starter | Yearly | $497.04 |
| MailerLite Comfort | Yearly | $961.20 |
| ActiveCampaign Starter | Yearly | $1,788.00 |
| Klaviyo Email | Monthly | $1,800.00 |
At 10,000 contacts, Klaviyo costs about 3.6 times as much as Brevo. See the full breakdown in the Klaviyo email marketing software review and 12-month cost.
Sending 1,000 Emails Costs $0.27 on GoDaddy Reach and $1.53 to $3.00 on Dedicated Plans
The formula: cost per 1,000 emails = 12-month cost ÷ 12 ÷ monthly emails in thousands. It assumes you send your full allowance every month. Rows run from cheapest to most expensive, each at its listed billing term.
| Tool and plan | Billing | Monthly cost | ÷ Emails (thousands) | Cost per 1,000 emails |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GoDaddy Reach | Monthly (listed) | $32.99 | ÷ 120 | $0.27 |
| Brevo Starter | Yearly | $183.00 ÷ 12 = $15.25 | ÷ 10 | $1.53 |
| Omnisend Standard | Monthly | $240.00 ÷ 12 = $20.00 | ÷ 12 | $1.67 |
| MailerLite Comfort | Yearly | $205.20 ÷ 12 = $17.10 | ÷ 10 | $1.71 |
| Mailchimp Essentials | Monthly | $318.00 ÷ 12 = $26.50 | ÷ 15 | $1.77 |
| Klaviyo Email | Monthly | $360.00 ÷ 12 = $30.00 | ÷ 10 | $3.00 |
Brevo only comes out cheapest if you pay yearly. On monthly billing, Brevo is $204.00 ÷ 12 = $17.00 ÷ 10 = $1.70. MailerLite is $228.00 ÷ 12 = $19.00 ÷ 10 = $1.90. That makes Omnisend the cheapest dedicated monthly rate at $1.67.
Reach’s low rate holds only when you use all 120,000 sends. At 10,000 sends a month, GoDaddy Reach is $32.99 ÷ 10 = $3.30 per 1,000. That’s above Klaviyo Email at $30.00 ÷ 10 = $3.00.
ActiveCampaign Starter is left out because its send allowance isn’t in the pricing figures used here.
Your GoDaddy rate: $____ monthly price ÷ ____ sends you actually make, in thousands = $____ per 1,000 emails.
Both Free Plans Cap You at 250 Contacts, but MailerLite Allows 5 Times Klaviyo’s Sends
- MailerLite’s free plan covers 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month. That’s 10 emails per subscriber.
- Klaviyo’s free plan covers 250 active profiles (the contacts Klaviyo counts toward your plan) and 500 sends a month. That’s 2 per profile.
At the same contact cap, MailerLite gives 2,500 ÷ 500 = 5 times the sends. Run a campaign on either one before you cancel GoDaddy, so your list always has a working sender. Once you pass 250 contacts, the 1,000-contact table above shows what you’ll pay.
GoDaddy Will Design and Send a Campaign, but You Need Subscribers First
You have three ways to run email: do it yourself, hire GoDaddy, or hire an agency.
GoDaddy’s help page on requesting an email campaign for Marketing Services Premium says “we’ll design and send an email marketing campaign”. You need subscribers before you request one.
Ask GoDaddy for the service’s price in writing and compare it with doing the work yourself. On the dedicated plans above, the tool alone costs $180 to $360 a year at 1,000 contacts. If you ask an agency, have it price design, sending and reporting separately so you can compare each one.
Next Step: See How Costs Grow Past 1,000 Contacts
GoDaddy Reach’s $395.88 a year beats the dedicated prices here at 10,000 contacts, not at 1,000, and only if its contact cap fits your list. To see how two general tools scale, read Mailchimp vs MailerLite: 12-month cost at 1k, 10k and 50k contacts.
